| 0 comments
It's Spring! I love so many wonderful things about this season, the birds chirping in the morning, rainbows appearing in the sky and sharing my new lovely designs with you! My new Spring Collection is a sparkling mixture of pieces for your everyday, and those extra special days. I incorporated many new sweet and simple designs in sterling silver and 14kt gold. The simplicity of this collection will surely become the "go to" pieces in your wardrobe.

Each and every new piece puts a smile on my face, and I am head over heels in love with the new photos taken by Sheila Carson Photography. Read on to learn more about Sheila!

Sheila and I have been collaborating on wedding ideas and inspiration for the last couple years, and every time I see her photos I am floored by her awesome talent. Here is a little about what inspires Sheila and how she started:

"I have been in love with and fascinated by the idea of capturing meaningful moments on film from as far back as I can remember.  From a very young age I would find myself studying old photographs for hours trying to take in every tiny detail.  I always loved putting “their story” together in my head from what I saw.  That’s what fueled my passion to become a photographer.  I wanted to capture little pieces of my subjects in a way that would fascinate the viewer into dreaming up their own story of that moment in time.
My ultimate goal is to find those essential and spontaneous moments and to capture them in a creative and compelling way that will tell your story for years to come."

Visit her website to view her amazing shoots.  You will find everything from family portraits to engagements and save the dates. From beautiful weddings to adorable newborns... and so much more. I am so lucky to call Sheila my friend and have her in my life, her positive outlook on work and life inspires me daily.

Real Wedding {Megan M}

I remember the exact day that Megan first contacted me, I was in California for the Casino San Clemente styled shoot and I woke up to her email, already containing photos of her gown and all the special details she wanted me to see. From that point on we chose the perfect jewelry for her wedding day, as well as treating her bridesmaids to matching bracelets and earrings. Megan was an absolute joy to work with, and I am thrilled to share her wedding with you! I must give a HUGE thank you to Misha Media Photography for these gorgeous photos, I am always overjoyed to see the time and effort put into capturing each little piece of a wedding day, especially the sparkly pieces!

The bride wore bracelet B601, earrings E101 and necklace N501. All the bridesmaids wore bracelets B630 and matching earrings E130 in white. All of these items can be found in the Vatne Designs Shop!

Real Wedding {Sandi}

Sometimes a customer makes you smile with a beautiful thank you, and Sandi made me smile from ear to ear. Sandi ordered necklaces (N501) and earrings (E111) for her bridesmaids, and then decided on the double stranded pearl and rhinestone bracelet B611 for herself. Her note read, "I just recieved my order!  And just wanted to let you know how ecstatic I am with how the earrings and necklaces look!!!  Exactly what I was hoping they would look like! Thank you sooo much!!!"
Here is a look into her gorgeous day, I am loving the photo of the bracelet, how wonderful!

Here is what Sandi has to share about her wedding day:
We had our ceremony and some of the photographs at my family's farm near Clairmont, Alberta.  Devin and I decided to do everything as cost effect as possible, meaning decorating, cake, invites...you name it!  Lucky for us, my sister-in-law, is super talented and was what I call my wedding planner/decorator extordanaire!  Everything from the invites to the centrepieces, to the head table backdrop was dreamed up between myself and Amy.  Devin, his best man and his dad, built the pergula (including cutting down the trees) that we stood under for the ceremony.  We also baled the straw as my dad combined to use as chairs for the ceremony.

We had some more pictures taken at Devin's family farm near Wembley, Alberta, as well as the reception was in Wembley.  We had many craft nights with both moms, and the bridesmaids, and even Devin helped out occasionally :) to complete all the centerpieces and favors.  Mason jars and wheat were a large part of our decorations.  With mason jars being hung on aisle markers, the pergula and used for favor jars to hold the cookies and marshmellows for s'mores.  My Grandma, mom and I also, baked and decorated our wedding cake!

I think with having done everything ourselves, with TONS of help from family and friends, it made that day so much more special!  It was very us, and we knew exactly what we wanted, a family and friends party where everyone could enjoy themselves!

I would have to say that getting to know Rhi of Hey Gorgeous Events has been one of the top highlights from this past year. Anyone who reads her beautiful blog would feel as if they have become her friend, with special peeks into her everyday and professional life. From her wedding to her new home, from her dazzling styled shoots to her let it all out blog posts, this girl is like a magnet. I am hooked!
This summer Rhi and her husband planned a stunning anniversary shoot filled to the brim with love, sweet moments and my favorite... lots of sparkle. Rhi also decided to custom design a bracelet with me in shades of pink, ivory and silver to compliment her super cute navy dress. Here are some of my favorite photos from this sweet shoot and find the entire gallery featured on Style Me Pretty Canada here.

My Year in Review ~ Brides

| 1 comments
This past year has been so exciting for me! This was the first full year after launching my online shop, and I am amazed by the response from brides all over the world. I shipped to places I never dreamed I would, including Brazil, Finland, Australia and Germany. As thrilling as that is, the best part of my jewelry business is hearing from the brides that I created for, and receiving photos of their Big Day. The sweet notes and peeks into the most important day of their lives is the very best part of my job. Above all I adored all the custom requests for designs that put the finishing touch on their perfect day. Thank you to all my wonderful customers and thank you for these sweet glimpses into your special moments.

I am so looking forward to all the new brides I will meet in 2012!

I adore these two colors together, and as you can see from the cute shoe clip photo at the bottom, this is my favorite color combination throughout the entire year. Love & Lavender {Sew in Love}

| 1 comments
This summer one of my all time favorite bloggers asked if I would like to design some jewelry for an upcoming styled shoot. Ummm... Absolutely!! All I knew about the shoot was that the colors were shades of pink and gray, which sounds so lovely, those colors are perfect together. This week Love and Lavender revealed their big secret to the world, and I am blown away! Their Sew in Love shoot  is filled to the brim with handcrafted details, gorgeous florals, and some spectacular vendors. I created the earrings is shades of blush and pink, and the bracelet in pink, white and gray. You can view their shoot on Green Wedding Shoes, and hear all about their design process in Part 1 and Part 2 on Love & Lavender. Enjoy!
